Genius 5 pro: sporttechnologie van de professionals voor de wielertoeristen

De Millennium 3 zool heeft een modern en elegant design en is de volgende generatie van de succesvolle Millennium 2 zool. Tony Rominger behoort tot de "Hall of memories" van Sidi

November 30^th, 2009 – Sidi’s relationships with its champions are destined to last in time. The company based in Maser (Treviso) will never forget the great athletes whose victories have contributed to making the Sidi Sport brand and its products famous throughout the world. By the same token, neither do the riders forget the help and support they receive from all the staff at Sidi.

Just ask Tony Rominger, one of the strongest riders on the scene for a decade between 1986 and 1996. In his career wearing Sidi Sport shoes he won three consecutive editions of the Vuelta a España (1992,1993 and 1994), a record which no one has since been able to equal. Not to mention his victory in the 1995 Giro d’Italia and his unforgettable duels with Miguel Indurain, another great from the Sidi stables, on the roads of the Tour de France.

Whenever he can, the Swiss champion doesn’t miss a chance to visit Dino Signori and the Sidi Sport staff. “With Sidi I have a beautiful relationship based on collaboration and friendship which has grown ever more solid throughout the years , says Rominger. It’s extraordinary the way the Signori family and all the Sidi staff still welcome me at the company. Every visit becomes a unique occasion in which to remember the great wins we achieved together, all of them rigorously preserved in the hall of great victories.

Contador traint deze winter met Sidi!

December 14^th, 2009 – After making a definite decision on which jersey to wear for his upcoming 2010 season, the time has come for Alberto Contador to get back on his bike and start pedaling again. However there was never a doubt about which shoes the champ will be wearing: his inseparable Genius 6.6 Carbons, made to order for the Spanish ace by the Sidi Sport Company based in Maser (Treviso).

The new season for Contador and his team Astana started in Italy with their first retreat, together with the other Spaniards on the team as well as the Kazak Vinokurov and Italy’s Tiralongo. Everyone toed the line with Sports Director Giuseppe Martinelli, pedaling together in their very first training sessions on the roads of Pisa, in Tuscany.

As always, Sidi Sport has shown itself to be ever attentive to the needs of its champions. During these trainings in December, Alberto Contador’s winter
wardrobe will be completed by Sidi Polar gloves, made in a highly technical
fabric that’s ideal for bike rides in extreme conditions, even with temperatures
below zero. He’ll also have his Sidi designed shoe covers to protect his
Genius 6.6 Carbon shoes as well as his feet from inclement weather conditions.
